JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 31 and their Auxiliary will be selling their blue Forget Me Not Flowers Friday and Saturday in Jamestown.

DAV Adjutant Rod Olin reports that they will be located at Hugo’s Family Market Place and Cash Wise Foods between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on September 21st & 22nd.

“All funds collected stay right in North Dakota,” Olin stated. “[They] are used to provide assistance to ill or injured Veterans, support the Veteran’s Home in Lisbon, ND, Volunteer Services at the VA in Fargo, the VA Clinic here in Jamestown, the All Vets Club in Jamestown and the DAV Transportation Network that provides free transportation for Veterans who have medical appointments.”

Forget Me Nots have been a project for the DAV since 1926 following World War I, when returning Veterans needed help. There are 5,000 DAV members in North Dakota and 1.2 million in the US.

You’re encouraged to stop and pick up a Forget Me Not and make a donation to the DAV and Auxiliary.
