GRAFTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City looks to end their winless streak Friday night when they travel Grafton for their week 3 match up.

Last Friday’s 35-8 defeat at the hands of top ranked St.Mary’s doesn’t tell the whole story of how Valley City performed on the field. They had their chances against the 2 time defending state champions, 3 fumbles and some big plays from The Saints swayed the final outcome.

Though they left Bismarck without the W, coach Scott Roehrich says there was plenty of positive takeaways from the game

 

The Spoilers have also yet to make a mark in the win column, they’ve lost to St.Mary’s 41-0 and Shanley 49-0. In their meeting last year at Hanna Field, The Hi-Liners held the lead at half before Grafton rattled off 14-0 unanswered points.
