ELLENDALE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Dickey County residents who are signed up for the CodeRED Emergency Alert System will be part of the countywide test Wednesday.
Dickey County Emergency Manager Charlie Russell states that the system is used to alert individuals in the county if disaster strikes.
“This system will alert you via email, text, phone to inform you of any pending doom and what you can do to protect you and your families,” Russell stated. “These alerts will simultaneously populate Facebook and Twitter. You will be directed to the Facebook page to find out what current information or to our Public information line.”
Russell encourages those who have not signed up for the free alert system to do so by visiting dickeynd.com. You can also contact the Public Information Line at 701-710-5135 if you have specific questions.
