OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Oakes High sophomore quarterback Garret Meehl threw for just over 200 yards and had four passing touchdowns as the Tornadoes rolled over Kidder County 28-8 Friday night at Cummings Field to improve to 3-0 overall, and 1-0 in Class B Region III.
Meehl had a 48 yard strike to Ashton Biesterfeld and a 40 yard connection to Logan Sell in the first quarter, and later hooked up with Brackin Awender for 24 and 17 yard scores in the second half.
The Wolves (1-2, 1-1) were kept just under 200 yards rushing for the game, with Isaiah Harter having 65 yards on 20 carries, and Parker Hager running the ball 14 times for 55 yards and the lone touchdown.
