PINGREE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Megan Moser had a double-double and was perfect at the serving line leading Medina/Pingree-Buchanan to a straight set win over Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier 25-18, 25-20, 25-12 in high school volleyball Thursday night in Pingree.
Moser had 13 kills, 16 digs and was 17-17 serving with four aces. Gracie Bohl also had a double-double with 12 set assists and 10 digs.
Despite Moser’s success serving, the rest of the team struggled. Head Coach Jaci Connell says that was an area of concern.
Kati Entzi led the Rebels with 11 kills and 8 digs. Avarie Carlson had 12 set assists along with five digs and Macy Boyer added a team high nine digs. Jamey Ellingson chipped in five kills and six digs for EKM. Coach Connell says her team did not shy away from the taller Rebels.
Alexis Vandeberghe nearly had a double-double for the Thunder with nine kills and eight digs. As a team, the Thunder had 48 digs in the three sets. Connell said that was a big reason why they won the match.
Medina/Pingree-Buchanan now 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Region 3, will travel to Ellendale September 6th, That match can be heard on Thunder Country 98.3 and newsdakota.com. Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier falls to 1-1 overall and 0-1 in Region 3. They will host South Border on Tuesday night.
