PILLSBURY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There were no injuries after a Freightliner struck part of a sprayer along Highway 32 near Pillsbury Thursday evening.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that a Case IH Sprayer was traveling northbound on Highway 32 before slowing to turn onto Highway 26. A Freightliner driven by 64 year-old Gary Perrine of Brick, NJ attempted to pass the sprayer and struck the left boom with the trailer. The sprayer slowed and stopped.

The semi continued northbound until it was stopped on Highway 200, roughly 8 miles southwest of Finley by the Steele County Sheriff.

Sprayer operator Austin Stockeland of Cooperstown was not injured. Semi driver Perrine faces charges of overtaking where prohibited.

The crash remains under investigation.
