WEST FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Hi-Liners fended off two West Fargo comeback attempts and pulled from behind in the 3rd set to earn a 3-0 victory in their EDC Volleyball opener Tuesday night. The won 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.

Cali Halgrimson led Valley City with 11 kills. Josie Berntson added 7, Macy Olstad 6 and Lindsey Noeske 4. Natalie Lemnus registered 16 assist with Berntson getting 14. Four had double figure digs led by Grace Scherr’s 28, Olstad had 12 and Halgrimson and Berntson 11.

Valley City had a team total of 9 aces. Scherr paced the team with 3, Lemnus and Berntson each added 2.

The win gives Valley City an overall 5-2 mark, Thursday they head to West Fargo Sheyenne.
