FORMAN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Oakes High volleyball team started the 2018 season on the right foot with a convincing 3-0 win at Sargent Central Monday.

The Tornadoes won by scores of 25-12, 25-10 and 25-12. Oakes had a stretch of 22 points in a row scored; with the last 12 of the second set and the first 10 of the third set.

Nicole Schmitz had a team high 10 kills, with Sadie Hansen adding another seven.

Oakes heads to Lisbon Tuesday night, with coverage on The Tornado KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com starting around 7:15 p.m.
