LISBON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Lisbon man was arrested Saturday, August 25th after a long distance pursuit began on Friday, August 24th about 11:50pm by a North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper who attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle with an equipment violation near Lisbon.
The Highway Patrol said the suspect fled in their vehicle and lead law enforcement on a chase that covered approximately thirty miles. The pursuit came to an end seven miles north of Ft. Ransom when the suspect attempted to elude law enforcement by driving through a soybean field and their vehicle became disabled. The driver was then taken into custody without incident and transported to the Barnes County Jail.
20 year-old Nicholas Hanson, of Lisbon is facing several charges including; fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an imitation controlled substance with intent to deliver a (C Felony).
