VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Week in and week out Valley City battled through a tough 2018 season and thought they failed to get a win they earned valuable varsity experience. This year Coach Scott Roehrich and company hope that being a year older and wiser will result in some wins and a turn around season.

With a majority of the starting line up expected to be back, one of the biggest focuses this offseason was to continue to build momentum

 

Now in year 2 of the schedule cycle Valley City will have the home advantage this year playing 5 games at Hanna Field and 4 games on the road. Turtle Mountain comes to town for week 1. When they met in Belcourt a year ago The Braves earned their only win coming back from a 12-0 deficit to win 48-12.

Turtle Mountain will feature some fresh faces and new head coach this season but coach Roehrich still expects the same physical game

 

Friday’s game will be the first at Hanna Field since the start of the new track project, fans attending the game can expect some changes at the field.

The Hi-Liner Boosters will have a tailgate party starting at 5:30.

Pregame coverage on KOVC 1490 AM-96.3 FM and NewsDakota.com will start around 6:45. The game will also be video streamed.
