FINGAL, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A High-Risk Sex Offender is living in Barnes County.

According to the news release, Charles Matthew Carrington Jr. is living at 620 2nd St, Fingal, ND. He was assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee from the Office of the Attorney General. Carrington is a lifetime registrant.

Carrington was convicted in U.S. Federal Court in North Dakota in 2006 of Sexual Abuse of a Minor. Carrington’s victim was a 12-year-old girl. He sexually assaulted his victim approximately 25 times over a two-year period.

This notice is meant for public safety and should not increase fear in the community, nor should this be used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender. Attempts to do so will result in prosecution.
