JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Wildlife Club (SCWC) has a very busy fall ahead of them.

The North Dakota Game & Fish announced earlier this year that the state pronghorn population had increased 57%, leading to double the amount of licenses available. They have also opened an additional 5 units when the season begins later this fall.

Cathleen O’Higgins is a SCWC member. She says the tag they received can be awarded to any resident and non-resident of North Dakota. Raffle tickets are available from any SCWC member for $10 or on August 16th at the KC Hall before the raffle.

O’Higgins says later this fall, they have made plans for their annual Youth Pheasant Hunt.

More information will follow as September 30th approaches for the Youth. O’Higgins says a new event they’re excited for is a ladies Pheasant Hunt in October.

The hunt will be Sunday, October 14th. O’Higgins says the best way to get more information and to stay up to date with the club is to follow them on their Facebook page. Click here to find it.

The club meets the second Thursday of each month at the Bunker in Jamestown. Listen to a full interview with Cathleen O’Higgins on other SCWC happenings below:
