VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Department of Human Services held an open house at the new South Central Human Service Center satellite office in Valley City on August 14th.

Advance Clinical Specialist and Valley City Team Lead Chelsea Modlin said since the office opened in June more than 150 clients have been served. She expects that number to grow in the future.

South Central Human Services Center Director Dan Cramer said our goal is to serve people when they need help.

Right now, a therapist is on-site three days a week and a licensed addiction counselor is on-site one day a week. A second therapist also comes to the satellite office in Valley City to serve area residents. He said psychiatric services are also available one day a week in the Valley City office which is located on the second floor of the City-County Health District building. Five staff members work in the Valley City office.
