VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The ND Elite 18U fastpitch team competed in the NAFA (North American Fastpitch Association) National tournament over the 26-29th of July.

In pool play Elite lost to Rock River Stix Gray 5-2 and Crush Tidal Wave 8-0. They tied with The FM Blaze 4-4. After pool play Elite was seeded in the Silver Bracket.

In this is a double elimination tournament they played MN Fierce winning 10-1, then played The SW Wisconsin All Stars losing 8-0.

They followed that up playing Wisconsin Xplosion winning 8-6 to move on to championship round on Sunday. They opened with The Wisconsin New Berlin Magic winning 9-1 then had to follow up that game and play another Wisconsin team, the Greenfield Ignitors losing 9-0.

The  Elite finished out the tournament 5th in the Silver Bracket out of 44 teams that started.

The ND Elite is made up of player from 5 different schools and 1  from college They have 3  Valley City players,  2 from Casselton and Bismarck Century, 1 from  Fargo North and
Fargo South and a player form Concordia.
