JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The highly attended Jamestown Downtown Arts Market will be wrapping up with the final three Thursday events this month.

Jamestown Arts Center Executive Director Larry Kopp says they’ve enjoyed a crowd of between 500 to 600 people at each event. Kopp says he’s been asked consistently if this will be an annual thing.

Kopp says thanks to a large grant from North Dakota Tourism, this year’s events were made possible. Right now, community support will be needed if the community wants to see the Downtown Arts Market continue.

Kopp says there will be opportunity for sponsorships and donations to keep the program around for next summer. The final three performances include:

August 9th – Greg Hager with the Old Friends band.
August 16th – F-M Kicks Big Band with Kicks Dixieland Band
August 23rd – The Gina Powers Band with Max Johnk Quartet

The event, put on by the Jamestown Arts Center, brings in vendors, quilting, art courses, live music, food, and more for free. It runs from 5 PM to 9 PM every Thursday.
