JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 13th Annual Miracle Treat Day was held at Dairy Queen’s nationwide.
Among those participating was the Jamestown branch. Every year, a portion of each blizzard sold at all participating Dairy Queen’s nationwide was donated to the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Sales stay local and will be donated to the hospital in Fargo.
“To date, more than $135 million has been raised through donations from DQ Fans and franchisees, all of which stays local to fund critical treatments and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care,” their website states.
Jamestown Dairy Queen Owner Tricia Seckerson states that they were able to raise around $4012.79 by selling 1,327 blizzards.
“This year has been Jamestown Dairy Queen’s best year ever,” Seckerson stated. “Our staff is amazing and really enjoys doing these events. Thank you to all of the great businesses that preordered and to the community for supporting North Dakota Children’s Miracle Network.”
Seckerson says while the turnout for the Children’s Miracle Network is great, there’s a lot more individuals can do.
“We have much more work to do on raising more every year for these sick and injured children. Remember you can always round up your change or contribute to the donations boxes all year long.”
