LANGDON, N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The day started with six teams and ended with four left at the 2018 State Class B Legion Baseball Tourney at American Legion Field.  Here are the results:

Carrington 10  Landgon 8 (elimination game)

Post 25 scored four runs in the top of the first and five runs in the top of the second and held on to knock out the host team, the Red Sox of Langdon Post 98 in the first game on Friday. Post 25 hit two home runs, Kyle Leapaldt was 2-for-4 at the plate with a 2-run home run and three RBI, Seth Nelson hit a 2-run home run as well and was 1-for-4 at the plate with two RBI. Kyle Leapaldt was the winning pitcher, Lucas Geiszler relieved him in the third inning.  Ethan Sampson took the loss.  Langdon ends their season at 20-10.

LaMoure 12  Renville County 2, 10-run rule, 5 innings

Post 19 scored three runs in the first inning, third inning, fourth inning and fifth inning before Renville County even got on the board. The Muskrats scored their only two runs of the game in the home half of the fifth. Mac Bierman was 3-for-4 with a double and scored three runs for Post 19, Alex Klever was 2-for-3 with two singles and Jace Hanson was 2-for-4 with two singles and three RBI. Jace Hanson picked up the victory on the mound, working three and a third innings throwing 44 pitches.  Taking the loss was starting pitcher Talon Thompson. Post 213 ends their season at 20-7.
