WILLISTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown scored five runs in the first inning before an out was recorded and cruised to a 10-0 win over Williston in an elimination game at the State Class A American Legion Baseball Tournament in Williston Thursday.
Chris Erickson had two hits and drove in three runs for Post 14. Tommy Falk, Kohl Krtatz and Max Anderson all had two hits and drove in two runs. Dawson Douty had two hits and scored three times.
Aaron Kleven picked up the win on the mound for Jamestown. He allowed three hits in 4 1/3 innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out five, including four in a row at one point. Chris Erickson threw two pitches and got Jack Heen to hit into a game ending double play in the fifth.
Jamestown will now face Grafton in an elimination game Friday at 12:00pm. Grafton lost to Fargo 10-3.
