WILLISTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In the 2017, Jamestown American Legion as 5-15 in Class AA and dropped a 13-2 decision to Mandan in the only post season game they played.

Fast forward to 2018, moving to Class A, Post 14 has thrived. With a 16-10 record and a Southwest Division title in hand, they travel to the same field in Williston, this time in the Class A State Tournament.

Jamestown opens with the Fargo Bombers Wednesday. The Bombers, 41-9 on the year, finished runners up in the Southeast Division to Kindred. Post 14 Head Coach Justin Connell says, they have a little scouting report on the Bombers but it does not matter who is in the other dugout, you need to worry about what you can control.

Coach Connell says the message to the team is simple, swim suits to Omaha, business suits to Williston.
