STEELE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure Babe Ruth baseball team needed to win twice Sunday for a chance to keep their State Championship dreams alive.

They did just that.

With a 2-0 win over Belfield-South Heart and a 9-5 victory over Bottineau, LaMoure has made it to the final three of the tournament field.

Corbin Potts went the distance in game one, striking out seven and allowing only three hits, while MacClaine Biermann drove in the two runs in the third with a double.

Potts had three hits, including a double in the second game, and LaMoure scored four times in the seventh inning to send Bottineau home for the year.

LaMoure plays Langdon Monday morning at 11, with the winner taking on Thompson at 1:30 in the State Championship round. Langdon defeated LaMoure 6-3 Saturday via a walk-off three run home run.

Should LaMoure win twice again Monday, a winner-take-all affair is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Coverage of LaMoure/Langdon Monday starts at 10:45 a.m. on Thunder Country 98.3 and NewsDakota.com
