VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Valley City Tennis Association sponsored the Junior Team Tennis (JTT) program this summer, with 40 local boys and girls ages 9-18 participating. This is the 4th year of the United States Tennis Association youth team program that included 5 teams. Players practiced weekly in June and July and played matches against Fargo and Mandan in the ND JTT Area Tournament July 12th in Fargo.

ND Area Tournament results (total games won/lost):
VC 18U Team A: Lost to Fargo #5, 18-24; Lost to Fargo #2, 9-29
VC 18U Team B: Lost to Fargo #3, 11-30; Lost to Mandan, 13-30
VC 14U: Lost to Fargo, 19-26; Lost for Mandan, 5-30
VC 10U: Lost to Mandan, 5-30; Lost to Fargo 23-25

This coming weekend, the 14U team will compete at the JTT sectional tournament in Lakeville, MN.

JTT coaches this season were: Hannah Aberle, Sara Aberle, Katie Clark, Erik Kringlie, Susan Kringlie, Matt Nielson and Clarissa Olson.
