CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Ostlie’s Sunnyside Acres will be hosting their 4th annual hops event this August south of Carrington.
Mike and Lindsay Ostlie own a farm roughly 9 miles south of Carrington and grow hops, a crop used primarily as a flavoring and stability agent in beer. On August 4th, they will be opening up their farm and hopyard for tours and demonstrations.
The Ostlie’s say there will show their small farm equipment including a “Bine Implement” hops harvester. Floyd Fever will be providing children’s entertainment during the tour.
Participants will be treated to beer samples from Fargo Brewing and a pizza lunch from Jonny B’s Brickhouse. Simple Coffee of Carrington will have coffee for purchase and the “Sunnyside Goods” farm store and gift shop will be open.
Admission for the Hops Harvestour is $25 for adults and $15 for children. Tickets can be purchased here.
The tour starts August 4th at 10 AM.
