FARGO, N.D. (KFGO Radio) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the names of the people involved in a fatal crash on I-29 near Hankinson on Sunday.
A vehicle driven by 15-year-old Connor Radtke of West Fargo was heading south on I-29, when he drove off the road. Radtke over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle, crossing the median and hitting another vehicle heading north on the interstate head-on. Both cars ended up in the ditch.
Connor Radtke was injured and transported to Essentia Hospital. His father, a passenger, 45-year-old James Radtke died at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, 24-year-old Flor Avila, and one passenger, 5-year-old Kayleen Avila, both from Fargo, were also killed in the crash
Another passenger of that vehicle, 4-year-old Reeve Avila, also of Fargo, was injured and according to family members is in a coma.
