JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A long-running tour of community gardens returns Wednesday, July 18th in Jamestown.
The Jamestown AAUW has selected the four gardens that will be featured on their 2018 tour. Entering it’s 29th year, the tour has raised money for the AAUW Endowment Fund at the University of Jamestown and the AAUW Foundation.
Kelly Krein is a member of the AAUW Jamestown branch.
Krein pointed out that the tour is leisurely and can be taken at your own pace to the four different gardens in the community.
The four stops include Gary & Cathy Carlson, 506 8th St SW; Mike & Colleen Dronen, 1301 8th Ave SW; Shaun & Deanna Fischer, 805 16 1/2 St NE and Jon & Connie Lillejord, 1604 Evergreen Dr NW.
To participate in the tour, you can purchase tickets at the AAUW Used Bookstore and Dakota Store, the Jamestown Arts Center, Don’s House of Flowers, Lloyds Toyota and all AAUW members. Tickets will be $12 the day of the tour. After the tour, refreshments will be served at the Jamestown Arts Center.
