BISMARCK, N.D. (Prairie Public Radio) – Supporters of an initiated measure to legalize recreational marijuana in North Dakota have submitted petitions to the Secretary of State to get the measure on the November ballot.

The group needed 13,452 valid signatures. They submitted around 18,700 signatures Monday.

David Owen chairs the “Legalize ND campaign. He says his group received a lot of responses from those who signed.

Owen says the group is now planning campaign strategy for the November election.
