CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The City of Carrington was hit hard with major rains following a brief storm Tuesday morning.

“City of Carrington urging drivers to stay of the city streets as every intersection is flooded in the city of Carrington,” the city stated.

Reporter Greg Grenz states that they are trying to allow storm drain systems to catch up. If you need to drive, please use caution. Below are some video taken by Greg of the aftermath of the large rainfall.

“Around 2.5 inches of rain in 35 minutes,” Grenz pointed out. “Flooded streets, water in basements and sewer backup. Some intersections were closed while city crews tried to get the drains open.”
