JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Police are investigating what caused a two vehicle crash on 1st Avenue North Monday morning.

According to initial reports, the crash happened just after 9:30 AM. An SUV and pickup both appeared to have been involved with the SUV striking a light pole. Preliminary reports say the pickup was northbound and was rear-ended by an SUV as the pickup was stopped to make a left turn onto First Street West.

Medical attention at the scene was refused. Traffic was detoured while police questioned those involved and crews cleaned up the scene. The City of Jamestown reports that repairs need to be made to pedestrian crossing on 1st Avenue, so trains will be sounding their horns until the work is completed.

More will be reported when the information becomes available.
