JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown may not have a full campus of students, but rather a full campus of construction this summer.
Currently, the University has a number of projects happening all over campus.
“[These projects] will help improve the university’s facilities and expand the opportunities and offerings available to our current students,” the University reports.
Some changes include the first floor of Raugust Library, which will now be home to the new Student Success Center.
“Students will have access to tutoring, academic advising, career services, and more, all in one central location,” the University announced.
Other work includes the varsity weight room in the Larson Center with a new floor and new equipment, Overhead lights on the turf field for additional use for practice and intramurals and home soccer games in the evening, and a student recreation center in the basement of the Hansen Center.
Another new addition will be an entrance sign near the new Harold Newman Arena.
“A new entrance sign is being constructed on the East entrance of campus to mirror our West entrance and welcome visitors to campus.”
Construction will also be starting construction of an addition to the Sorkness Center that will house the senior lab for mechanical engineering students.
