Sandra Larson, age 76, of Valley City, ND, died Sunday, June 17th at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 23rd at the Lerud Schuldt Mathias Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Saturday morning at the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.
Sandra Lea Larson, the daughter of Elmer and Helen (Larvick) Larson, was born January 7, 1942 in Valley City, ND. Sandy grew up and attended school in Valley City and graduated from Valley City High School in 1960. On August 12, 1960 she married Dennis Bredeson in Valley City. Sandy worked as a Nursing Assistant at both Mercy Hospital and the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.
On October 25, 1985 she married Stanley Amundson. They lived on the family farm north of Valley City and briefly lived in New York Mills, MN before returning to Valley City working at the Sheyenne Care Center until her retirement. Sandy loved going to her grandchildren’s sporting events and greatly looked forward to her classmates Wednesday morning coffee group.
Sandy is survived by her children, Shanon Bredeson, Valley City, ND, Darin (Natalie) Bredeson, Little Rock, AR, Darci (David) Claude, Fargo, ND; one sister, Linda (James) Svobodny, Moorhead, MN; grandchildren, Eric Bredeson, Kaytlyn Hansen, Shelby Bredeson, Jedadiah (Lynsi Emery) Hansen, Jerricoh Hansen, Cooper Bredeson, Christopher Vasilopoulous, Zoie Vasilopoulous and Beckett Bredeson; one great granddaughter, Delani Hansen; two nephews, Matt (Maureen) Svobodny, Minneapolis, MN and Ben (Allison) Svobodny, Moorhead, MN; one niece, Sarah Svobodny, Olympia, WA. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Helen Larson.
