JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public Works Committee will be moving forward the plans and specifications for the James River Cleaning Project.
Committee Chairman Steve Brubakken pointed out that the schedule may be a little tight once bids are let and approved and work begins.
Acting City Engineer Travis Dillman says they may be looking at a time extension and the awarded grant will allow them to do that.
Dillman says other items that could cause them to have reason to delay the project include conditions further in the fall and winter.
The committee unanimously approved the plans and specs.
Dillman also gave the committee information of the ongoing hydrant flushing in the city.
Hydrant flushing may see some coloration in the water, but the flushing should clear that out and improve water quality.
