JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Boat ramps are far and few between and for some, accessing them can be difficult.

North Dakota Game & Fish Wildlife Biologist Doug Leier says individuals should be mindful when using a boat ramp at any location in North Dakota.

Leier says to help alleviate the congestion, ramp users should be willing to help others at the ramps to keep things moving smoothly. He says ramp users should also have everything prepared before backing their boats in.

Leier says the same goes for taking boats off of the water.

Leier says if boaters and anglers can heed those tips, it’ll make the waters more enjoyable this summer for everyone.

You can listen to Doug Leier every Thursday at 7:20 AM with JD in the Morning on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM.
