LEAL, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Leal man is dead after a heavy tree branch he was cutting fell on top of him Friday.

According to Barnes County Sheriff Randy McClaflin, 31-year-old Travis Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene after a tree branch he had been cutting fell and struck him.

Barnes County Dispatch received a 911 call that a man had been struck by a tree in the 100 block of 2nd Ave. in Leal, ND after 9PM on Friday, June 8th.

Dazey First Responder’s, Barnes County Ambulance and the Barnes County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene.
