JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Larry Knoblich, affectionately known as “Knobby”, will be stepping down as a Park Board Commissioner after more than 36 years of service.

Parks and Recreation Director Doug Hogan stated that there will be a retirement open house for Larry Knoblich.

“Larry has been a Park Board Commissioner for 36 consecutive years since being elected in 1982,” Hogan stated. “The open house will be at the Jamestown Elks 995 beginning at 5:15.”

Hogan says it will follow their board meeting on Monday, June 11th. Everyone is invited to attend.

Knoblich is known for starting up the “Runnin’ O’ The Green”, one of Jamestown’s biggest fundraisers.
