FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Authorities say a Sanborn man who was rescued from Hobart Lake on Monday, June 4th after he drove his pickup into the lake died June 5th.

The Highway Patrol identified the man as 64 year old Terry Swenson of Sanborn.
Barnes County officials say Swenson was submerged for several minutes before divers rescued him and ambulance crew’s air lifted him to a Fargo hospital.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Matthew Denault said Swenson’s 1996 Chevrolet pickup was westbound on Barnes County Road 22 about 8:25am on Monday. He said for unknown reasons, the pickup drove off the right side of the road and into Hobart Lake where it was submerged. Swenson died Tuesday morning as a result of the crash.
