JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Over 600 runners and walkers from all over were in Jamestown for one single cause Saturday.
Everyone was there to raise money for breast and cervical cancer research.
The 11th Annual Running of the Pink was held on June 2nd. Created by Casey Stoudt and Doug Kloudt, the event has raised over $100,000 in its 10 year history. Stoudt says the event is bigger than they ever could have imagined when the first started.
Stoudt says this year was extra special as one of their own had passed from breast cancer. He was proud of the family members that came out to support the run and remember Barb Gefroh.
While final numbers were not immediately available, Tara Kapp believes that they set many records.
Kapp was grateful for those who were new to the event, but also those who have participated since their first annual 11 years ago.
Family members for Team Heather, Team Barbie and business teams participated. The BIO Girls also all ran in the 5K.
Final results, placements and more will be posted within this story by Monday.
Below are some photos and video from the event taken by Warren Abrahamson and Katie Roehm.
