BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department is encouraging all North Dakotans to get out and fish this weekend.
Free Fishing Weekend will allow all residents age 16 and over to fish in any North Dakota waters without a license. Resident age 15 and under do not need a license at any time of the year.
Game & Fish Biologist Doug Leier says all rules and regulations still apply for those who participate.
With free fishing weekend, Leier says people should be mindful of boat and water safety.
Leier says residents should also get their deer gun license applications in before the deadline next week.
Leier says individuals shouldn’t wait until the last minute and sign up before it’s too late.
You can catch Doug Leier every Thursday with JD in the Morning on Big Dog Country 95.5 FM at 7:20 AM.
