JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Parks & Recreation Department has set the opening date for the Healthy COnnections summer program in the parks.

The department reports that Meidinger, McElroy, Nickeus and Leapaldt park will open up with the summer program beginning Monday, June 4th. The summer parks program is prepared for children ages 6-12 and provides supervised activities Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 4:30 PM.

“Activities include crafts, games, sports, and much more,” the department announced. “The program is free and weakly topics will be discussed throughout the program such as nutrition and bike safety.”

Parents and guardians are responsible for all transportation.
