WILLISTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A year removed from their surprise run to the region championship game, the Jamestown High Blue Jays have put themselves in a better position to make a run. They made the title game as the No. 7 seed in 2017, this year the Jays enter as the 4th-seed.
Jamestown (11-7) finished off their regular season on Saturday with a pair of wins over St. Mary’s, 10-1 and 3-1, to lock up a seed in the top half of the tournament. They will play Mandan at 2:30pm on Thursday at Aafeldt Stadium in Williston.
The Jays swept Mandan in their regular season meeting with wins of 8-3 and 4-1 on May 12th. If they can get past the Braves, they would likely meet top-seeded Century, who they have lost to twice.
