JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Superintendent Robert Lech informed the Jamestown Public School Board that some changes to the current Adult Farm Business Management Program needed to occur to ensure that no district funds would be needed to supplement the program.
In his report, Lech stated that they had been searching for potential partners to continue the program. He pointed out that an obvious partner to maintain the program would be an institution of higher education.
Lech reports that discussion with the North Dakota State College of Science were to determine the willingness to take on the Jamestown program as part of their current department. He says NDSCS has received approval and they are in the process of working out the transition.
Superintendent Lech says the agreement is a win-win for both the school district and NDSCS.
Lech believes the transition will occur this year.
