JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – On June 2nd, RM Stoudt will be hosting their 11th annual Running of the Pink, raising money for breast and cervical cancer research.
The event was created 11 years ago by Casey Stoudt and Doug Koudt to raise funds for cancer research. In the event’s history, more than $100,000 have been raised for that cause.
Tara Kapp says thanks to Casey Stoudt, all funds donated including sponsorships and registrations are donated completely to the No Excuses Program.
The event is a 10K Run and a 5K Run/Walk, meaning anyone of any fitness level can participate. Kapp says this years event hits closely to her and the other employees of RM Stoudt.
In 2017, the 10th annual event had around 600 runners participate. Kapp says they would love to have a bigger turnout this year.
Early registration will be accepted until Saturday May 19th. Registration cost is $15 for Seniors 60 & over and youth 12 & under and adults are $20. After May 19th, registration cost is $5 more.
There will be prizes for largest family team, largest business team, crowd favorite and placings. Vivien the Pink Fire Truck is also expected to make another appearance at the event.
