JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – After leading Jamestown Police on a pursuit on Monday, May 7th, the department reports that the wanted individual is now in custody.

Officials say 31 year-old Amanda Leavy was wanted for questioning regarding the pursuit, which lasted around 10 minutes. Police say Sunday night, Leavy was located along First Avenue after a tip from the public.

Leavy’s vehicle was pulled over for a routine stop and she was taken into custody. She has been booked at the Stutsman County Correctional Center where she faces charges of 24/7 Violation (Drug Patch), DUS- 4th in 5 years, False Info to Law Enforcement, Fleeing A Police Officer – Vehicle, and failure to appear on Possession of a controlled substance (Meth & Prescription) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond has been set at $500. The department thanks the public for calling in tips, leading to the arrest of Leavy.
