VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to the board of directors: Bryan Wolla, Diane Hochhalter, and Casey Stowman. The Board provides leadership for carrying out the Foundation’s mission to promote philanthropy across the Sheyenne River Valley.
Bryan Wolla has lived in the Valley City community for the past 24 years. As a 1999 VCSU Business graduate, he began a managerial career with the U.S. Postal Service. He is currently a manager within the U.S. Geological Survey, and resides with his family in Valley City. Bryan and his wife Penny own and operate BLUSH Boutique – a small business with a service-driven mission. “I have always had a heart of servanthood, and the Community Foundation’s goal of connecting donors with charitable needs is a natural fit. I am eager to inspire the spirit of giving to enhance people’s lives, and promote the Sheyenne River Valley area.” said Wolla.
Diane Hochhalter and her husband David have lived in seven different communities before returning to David’s hometown of Valley City. Their experiences provided a refreshed perspective on how amazing this area is, and the potential for what can be in the future! “I joined the Community Foundation because I truly believe in the power of a community. The visions and goals of the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation are aligned with the growth and progress I would love to see in our town and surrounding communities.” said Hochhalter.
Casey Stowman is filling the remaining term for Jan Stowman. Casey was born and raised in Valley City and currently working for Valley Wealth Advisors. Casey brings over 18 years of experience working in the financial industry. “I am excited to continue the passion the Stowman family has for the area and to build upon what the Sheyenne Valley Community Foundation has to offer donors and local nonprofits.”
We would like to thank Jan Stowman for the commitment she has provided to the Board. “Jan generously gave her time and talents which allowed us to develop quality relationships that promote philanthropy in our community.” Said David Beierle, SVCF Board President.
