JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – New signs welcoming new and returning visitors will be present along Main Street in Jamestown.

Thanks to a joint effort between the Jamestown Downtown Association, Jamestown Chamber of Commerce, and Jamestown Tourism, the new signs were installed and unveiled Monday. JDA President Lynn Lambrecht says there were a few reasons they decided to go with new signs.

Lambrecht says the new signs were inspired by some of the history of the buildings in the downtown part of Jamestown.

From a beautification standpoint, Lambrecht hopes the new signs paired with the hanging flower baskets will prepare the downtown and community for summer and the tourist season.

The new signs were being installed Monday morning by the Jamestown City Street Crews. Lambrecht says they have roughly 60 signs designed and printed by Newman Signs.
