STEELE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior Drew Page picks up the victory on the mound and Junior Jayden Shipman has three hits at the plate to help the Cardinals beat the Wolves of Kidder County on Tuesday afternoon 5-2 at Pirate Field. Carrington improves to 7-0 in Region 3 play and 8-2 overall, KC drops to 2-5 in Region 3 and 2-7 overall.
The Cardinals lead-off man Jayden Shipman had two singles, a double and scored three runs, both Lucas Geiszler and Garrett Bickett had RBI doubles. At the plate for the Wolves, Sophomore catcher Parker Hager was 2-for-4 with a single and a double and scored the only two runs of the game for KC. Taking the loss was Junior Ross Schneider working 5 innings, Colten Jangula relieved him in the sixth and Ethan Hager worked the seventh.
