JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A tasty tradition to raise money for kids will continue today in Jamestown.
To finance their many projects that help area children, the Jamestown Kiwanis will hold their Pancake Day. The one day fundraiser has raised a lot of money for the organization to continue their mission.
Kiwanis member Katie Ryan-Anderson says Pancake Day has helped raise money for them to do other things like their meal packaging event in the fall.
Other Kiwanis projects include purchase snacks and hygiene products for the homeless, providing scholarships, cleaning local highways and more.
Thanks to that community support, Ryan-Anderson says they’ve been able to raise even more money for area kids. For example, Ryan-Anderson says Hugo’s Family Marketplace has begun donating the needed ingredients for Pancake Day.
The event is today at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children, $22 for family and preschool and under are free.
The 40 or so members of Kiwanis meet each Monday at noon. New members are always welcome.
