JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Crews from Border States Paving started work on the Frontier Village Road this week.
The road was in need of dire maintenance after it was observed that there was sagging and sinkholes appearing in the road. The project cost is sitting at around $161,899. During a special meeting in April, Engineer Travis Dillman stated that crews would move the new wall to the north and leave the existing wall in place to an extent.
An SRF Grant will cover 60% of the construction cost with the rest being special assessed to area occupants which include Jamestown Tourism, the Frontier Village Association and Buffalo Museum.
Dillman says the project should be completed before tourist season officially arrives this summer.
