Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)——Junior Drew Page flirted with perfection on Tuesday, allowing a 1 out walk in the final inning to Alec Horn. Horn was the only M-P-B batter that would reach first base in the game as Page threw a no hit, shutout against the Thunder. Page retired the first 13 batters he faced before Horn reached with 1 out in the fifth and final inning. Page struck out the side in the final inning, finishing with 6 strikeouts as the Cardinals won 16-0.

Carrington opened up a 1-0 lead after the first inning and proceeded to blow the game wide open in the second with 8 runs on 7 hits, a hit batter, and 5 Thunder errors. The Cards added 6 more runs in the third inning.  Seven Cardinal starters scored 2 runs in the contest that was shortened to 5 innings do to the 10 run rule. Payton Smith went 2-2 with 4 RBI, Kyle Leapaldt 2-3, RBI, Trey Rosenau 2-3, 3 RBI, Page 2-3, RBI, Seth Nelson 2-2, 2 RBI, Jayden Shipman 1-2, RBI, and Garrett Bickett was the only player to score 3 runs. Carrington improved to 5-1 overall and 5-0 in Region 3 play. M-P-B dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-3 in Region 3 play.
