GRAND FORKS, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Nothing seemed to go right for The Hi-Liner baseball team Tuesday night in Grand Forks. Red River put up 10 runs in the opening inning while two pitchers held Valley City hitless. The Roughriders routed The Hi-Liners 14-0 ending the game in 5 innings.

With the loss they drop to 0-6, next Tuesday they play West Fargo.

The Hi-Liner’s only base runners were Avery Bennefeld and Mitchel Taylor  who reached after being hit by pitches while John Beutler got to first safely on an error.

Roughrider starter Conner Richardson struck out 9 over 4 innings  to get the win, Peyton Lotysz pitched the final inning to keep the no hitter in tact.
