FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An Enderlin man is facing numerous charges after fleeing from Highway Patrol Troopers Saturday afternoon.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that they attempted to stop a speeding vehicle on Highway 18 roughly 7 miles south of Casselton. The 1990 Chevy Blazer accelerated to a top speed of 106 mph as troopers pursued the vehicle.

“The vehicle continued northbound on 18 until it entered I-94 eastbound,” reported Sgt. Matthew Denault. “Troopers attempted to utilize a spike strip tire deflation device twice unsuccessfully.”

The pursuit lasted around 25 miles, ending at Sanford Hospital in Fargo where Joshua Wolters, 21, was taken into custody without incident.

Wolters faces charges of driving under the influence, driving under suspension, fleeing a police officer, and reckless driver. There were no injuries reported.

The Highway Patrol was assisted by the West Fargo Police Department.
