JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – For more than 30 years, the University of Jamestown has held their Dine & Bid fundraiser, raising thousands of dollars for current and future students who attend the school.

On April 21st, the 32nd annual iteration of the event will be held. Kelsey Deragisch is the Dine & Bid Committee Chair. She says the event has continued to grow and continues to be a huge success for the University.

In 2017, the University of Jamestown reported that more than 400 people attended and raised $141,000, both records for the event.

The event features the opportunity to bid on an array of unique items in silent and live auctions and the chance to win exciting raffles throughout the evening. Several unique items will be auctioned including a vacation at a beachfront home in Belize, as well as tickets to Hamilton.

During the event, the Harold Newman Arena will be dressed up for the theme of the evening; “A Knight at the Oscars.” Deragisch says they’ve been very appreciative of the support from the community which has aided the event’s success over the years.

There will be silent and live auctions, student entertainment and food provided by Sodexo. Casey Stoudt and Warren Abrahamson will be the Master of Ceremonies. Students also get involved in the event through a talent competition, by managing valet parking, greeting attendees, displaying items, serving the meal, and assisting with delivery of large auction items to buyers’ homes.

Tickets are $75 and all proceeds go the student scholarships at the University of Jamestown.
